Our Story
The House of El Shaddai began with a simple goal: to create a place where people could feel seen, supported, and safe during the day.

Located on Albany Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut, we are a 501(c) (3) nonprofit day shelter serving individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability in our community.
Our Mission: is to provide a safe, welcoming space where people can access essential services, build connections, and take steps toward stability and independence so they can begin to heal.
